Today in class we tried using a new website to practise our Maths skills. It is a great website for addition and subtraction. Click on the link here and have a go! Which level did you reach? We loved seeing Raymond's addition skills here! Well done Raymond!
For our end of unit assessments, we are going to show how money is used as a system of exchange. Some children are making models to show their understanding. Some children are making posters and the last group are writing their own play to perform. Watch our blog to see new photos and comments soon. Do you remember what this photo shows?
On Wednesday 24th October Grade 2 held their annual Charity Sale. All the children designed, planned and decorated their own stalls. The children were raising money for the Deak Kum Pa Orphanage in Laos. It is part of the "Together For Charity" organization. There were many stalls to visit. In Grade 2NC we had The Nail Spa,The Hair Styling Salon, The Book Stall, The Toy Shop, The Super, Mega Candy Floss Store, The Archery Game, The Origami Corner, The Cookie Counter and The Sweet Store. In our class alone we managed to raise a staggering $647. This is enough money to sponsor a child for a whole year and still have funds left over. Well done Grade 2NC! You were amazing and worked so well! I am really proud of you all! Thank you for a great day!
Please consider donating some birthday money or pocket money next time you have a treat. The children at the Deak Kum Pa Orphanage in Laos would greatly benefit from your donation. Please visit their website for more information:
